Where is the Scallop Festival held?

At the Marine Reserve, The Esplanade, in Whitianga, New Zealand.

What is included in my ticket?

The Whitianga Scallop Festival is a purpose built marquee village showcasing over 60 food & beverage vendors, Celebrity Chefs sharing their expertise in the New World Cooking Stage and three stages of musical entertainment running though out the day.
Tickets are for entry only.  You will receive a festival glass and programme on entry. 
All our stallholders sell their treats, ranging from approx. $5.00-$12.00.

Do I have to pay for children?

Children under 5 years are free.

Will there be a 'Best Dressed' competition?

Yes, there will be a ‘Best Dressed’ competition … get your troops together and have some fun!

Is there cash available onsite ?

There is no cash out facilities, most stallholders do have eftpos, but to be on the safe side, grab some cash from the nearby money machines on Albert Street.

How long does the festival run for ?

The gates open at 10am and close at 5pm.

Where can I park ?

There is limited street parking within walking distance. We recommend the gold coin donation shuttle busses running throughout the day.

Are pets welcome ?

Unfortunately, we do not allow animals into the festival unless of course they are guide dogs.
